Okay, I'm not going to lie.. I didn't expect too much from this game. It was less than 20 dollars and a couple of years old. On top of all of that I hadn't heard anything about it. I was expecting to be bored with it very fast and that I'd almost instantly regret the purchase. I was wrong, and I'm very glad I gave Wolfenstein a try.
You play as U.S. special agent B.J. Blascowicz. The same protagonist from Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Your mission was to stop a German ship from launching missiles at London, but as you fight your way through the ship you come across a mysterious medallion that saves your ass. After that, you have to travel to Isenstadt and locate Nachstone crystals for the medallion. I ended up encountering much more in Isenstadt than I expected. There was weapon customization and special upgrades for your medallion. Along with a very fun game.

A- This game took me completely off-guard. I wasn't expecting it to be somewhat free roaming or have weapon customization or any of that shit. There's the areas like the hospital that are really creepy and have crazy fucking Nazi creations. Then Nazis patrol the city constantly and if you let yourself get spotted your in for a hell of a firefight. And if you think it's just a simple CoD-style Nazi shoot-em-up you're very mistaken. There's all kinds of weird monsters and giant armored Nazis for you to fight. This game has two distinct atmospheres. The oppressed sunny German villages (much akin to Inglorious Bastards a lot of the time.) and the twisted Nazi research compounds. I haven't even mentioned the Veil; the hidden dimension you enter when you harness the power of the medallion you found. It adds a whole new layer to the game play and environments. -8/10
G- The gameplay in this was a lot better than I would have thought. There's a decent upgrade system and the medallion's powers add even more to the gameplay. You can find secret areas and bypass enemy turrets, not to mention create a shield for yourself and slow down time to get by traps. The only problem I had with it is that the frame-rate will sometimes drop considerably when you activate the medallion's powers. The gunplay is a lot of fun too. The game has giant monsters and fast nazi wizards. It's hectic and fun. I was surprised so much by this aspect of the game. -9/10
G- This game was made with IdTech4, the same engine that Doom3 was made with. That being said, the visuals in this game are great! My favorite feature? Enemy's limbs exploding. For an engine that's 7 years old, this is beyond impressive. -8.5/10
S- The sounds are well designed. The gunshots and medallion power noises are all very cool sounding. The voices are also fairly good. B.J.'s voice in-between levels is a nice touch too .-8/10
Verdict : 8/10
This game impressed me on just about every level. I wish that I had heard more about it, because it's actually a really good WWII era shooter. If you like single-player shooters or WWII shooters, this is a very solid choice.
